Short, direct answers to the questions people ask most about FitMatch. If you can’t find what you need here, email us at hello@fitmatch.org.uk.
What is FitMatch?
FitMatch is a private digital wardrobe and AI outfit planner. You photograph the clothes you already own, FitMatch tags each piece automatically, and then builds outfits and daily looks from your real closet. It's available on iOS, Android, and the web.
Is FitMatch free?
Yes. FitMatch has a free tier with the core wardrobe features and a limited number of AI planner credits per week. FitMatch Pro is a paid tier that unlocks unlimited planner credits, higher-quality voice output, and additional features. Pro is billed monthly or yearly, in-app.
Which devices does FitMatch work on?
FitMatch runs on iOS (iPhone and iPad), Android phones and tablets, and any modern web browser at app.fitmatch.org.uk. Your wardrobe syncs across all three so you can add a piece on your phone and plan an outfit on the web later.
Does FitMatch use my wardrobe photos to train AI?
No. Your wardrobe photos are used only to run the app for you: to tag pieces, generate outfits, and display your wardrobe back to you. FitMatch does not use your photos to train general-purpose AI models, and our third-party AI providers are contractually prohibited from doing so.
How does FitMatch build outfits?
FitMatch uses Cloudflare Workers AI models to analyse your clothing photos (category, colour, material, formality, season) and to compose outfits from those tagged pieces. You can ask for an outfit for a specific occasion, day, or weather condition. All AI outputs are clearly labelled as AI-generated inside the app, in line with Article 50 of the EU AI Act.
How is FitMatch different from Whering, Save Your Wardrobe, Acloset, or Stylebook?
FitMatch is designed around three principles other wardrobe apps generally don't combine: it never suggests things to buy, it never uses your photos to train models, and it is voice-first with weather-aware daily planning. See our full comparison at fitmatch.org.uk/compare.
Do I need to take a photo of every piece of clothing I own?
Not all at once. Most people add their most-worn pieces first (10 to 30 items) and grow the wardrobe over time. FitMatch also has a mass-upload flow that tags multiple pieces at once from a single photo library selection.
Can I use voice to plan outfits?
Yes. On Pro, you can dictate what you're dressing for instead of typing. Voice recordings are transcribed with Cloudflare Workers AI Whisper and discarded immediately after transcription — only the text is kept.
Does FitMatch check the weather?
Yes. If you allow approximate location, FitMatch pulls today's forecast from OpenWeather and factors temperature, wind, and precipitation into the daily outfit suggestion. Precise coordinates are never stored.
How many wardrobe pieces can I add on the free plan?
The free plan is generous enough for most starter wardrobes. Exact limits (pieces, planner credits, saved looks) are shown inside the app on your account screen and can change as the product evolves. Pro removes those limits.
Which languages does FitMatch support?
The app interface is available in English, Spanish, French, German, and simplified Chinese. AI suggestions are generated in the language you've set the app to.
Does FitMatch work offline?
You can browse your saved wardrobe and lookbook offline. Adding new pieces (which requires image tagging) and generating new outfits require an internet connection.
How is my data protected?
Wardrobe photos live in private, user-scoped Supabase storage buckets that are only accessible via short-lived signed URLs generated for your account. Voice recordings are not stored. All data in transit is encrypted (TLS 1.2+). Our full privacy practices are documented at fitmatch.org.uk/privacy.
How do I delete my account?
Open FitMatch, go to Profile → Delete account, or visit fitmatch.org.uk/delete-account, or email hello@fitmatch.org.uk from the email on your account. Deletion is completed from active systems within 30 days and from rolling backups within 90 days.
Is FitMatch available in my country?
Yes. FitMatch is available worldwide through the Apple App Store, Google Play, and the web. Some payment methods for Pro may depend on the app store's rules in your region.
How old do I have to be to use FitMatch?
You must be at least 16 years old to create a FitMatch account. This matches the strictest digital-consent age set by EU member states under GDPR.
Who makes FitMatch?
FitMatch is built by Planbase Limited, a company registered in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at hello@fitmatch.org.uk.
